Kim Gold is the co-founder of Still Mind Yoga and has been teaching yoga since 2009. She has over 20 years practice in the meditative traditions, including yoga. She teaches open level classes that focus on the experience of the present moment through physical postures and breathing. Her classes are accessible for day one beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. Her hope is that students feel stronger, calmer, and better able to cope with the stresses of life through the practice of yoga.

Kim first discovered yoga as a teenager back in the mid 1980s and returned to it more seriously as an adult. After exploring many paths toward healing, she has found the combination of movement and breath to be the most powerful and profound. She was certified through Atmananda Yoga in New York City and Mark Whitwell's Heart of Yoga training, and is also trained to teach children's yoga and special needs yoga. Kim has a long history of martial arts training, including Aikido, kung fu, and Brazilian jiu jitsu. Her Still Mind sequence incorporates elements from varied traditions, and emphasizes simple and slow movements centered on the breath.

Kim also teaches private yoga sessions.

In Kim's free time, she enjoys making collages. Her art can be found on Instagram

RYT, Registered Yoga Teacher

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years, and as a yoga teacher for over 10. I believe that our yoga mats are our personal laboratory and our playground, a place to experiment and to have fun! In my classes you will learn to approach your practice with peaceful presence, and find a joyful balance between effort and ease. You will also improve your posture and core strength. My personal style is a blend of vinyasa, static postures and pilates-based movements. I cater to all levels of ability.

For years I’ve felt that something was missing from the traditional health and fitness paradigm. I found the answer when I began to practice yoga. Through spiritual discipline and mindful movement, I have been able to heal myself of severe depression and anxiety, and create a healthy body and vibrant new life. The path of transformation has led me to study the sciences of physiology, yoga, and nutrition, and the energies of love, pleasure, and sensuality. My passion is sharing the secrets I have learned with anyone committed to creating meaningful change in his or her own life.

In addition to group classes, I offer private fitness and yoga sessions, as well as one-on-one coaching.

When I’m not teaching, I like to spend time in nature and sing rock music.

Matt Fass

RYT, Registered Yoga Teacher

Matt first came into the world of yoga after discovering one of its seminal texts, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The principles really appealed to him, especially those of practice and non-attachment. He also saw it as a practical way to achieving more peace of mind in everyday life.

After beginning to practice Hatha Yoga on his own, he decided that it would be worthwhile to take a teacher training course. Initially the prospect of teaching yoga wasn't what he had in mind. The training was more for deepening his own understanding of the science of yoga. He soon realized that teaching yoga to others was a great way to deepen that understanding, and had a value wholly it's own.

As a yoga teacher, Matt is dedicated helping people achieve greater physical well-being and strength, mental clarity, focus, and a feeling of peace that they can carry with them wherever they go.

Jnanaprabha Jennifer Bobbe

RYT, Registered Yoga Teacher

Jnanaprabha Jennifer Bobbe began studying and practicing yoga and meditation in college while going through a major depression. She studied for the Unitarian-Universalist Ministry at Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, but after completing the requirements and an internship, chose to take another path. She concluded her M.A. in Religious Studies, with an emphasis in Asian Religions, at New York University in 1997. In an effort to contribute to her thesis on Tibetan death rituals, she began studying Tibetan language and meditation with Venerable Thupten Phuntsok of the Asian Classics Institute in New York in 1996. This led to her becoming a student and initiate of Geshe Michael Roach, Sermey Khensur Lobsang Tharchin, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Today she is a mom of two young children, and continues as a student and aspirant in Buddhism and yoga. She received her RYT-200 Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification from Integral Yoga and her Yin Yoga certification from Corina Benner in 2015, and is currently seeking certification as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is a teacher for meditation and yoga classes at Still Mind Martial Arts & Yoga/Integrated Peace Arts.
